1. The service
QRCraft Studio lets you design and download QR codes, create dynamic QR codes that redirect through short links on our domain, view scan analytics, publish link-in-bio pages and generate codes in bulk from CSV files. The service is free of charge and funded by advertising. There are no paid plans.
Static QR codes are generated in your browser and are yours to use for any lawful purpose, commercial or personal, without attribution.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Provide a working email address; we use it for verification, password resets and important service notices only.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person may hold one account. Automated account creation is prohibited.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the service, including any QR code, short link or bio page created with it, to:
- link to or distribute malware, phishing pages, credential-harvesting forms, or content designed to deceive people about who they are dealing with;
- impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or place codes on property or materials you have no right to modify (for example covering a legitimate payment or parking QR code with your own);
- link to content that is illegal where you or your audience are located, including child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, or the sale of prohibited goods;
- send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or run link schemes intended to manipulate search engines;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property, or violate anyone's privacy;
- probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service or bypass its rate limits, or scrape other users' data;
- resell the service or present it as your own.
We may inspect destinations and content to enforce these rules, use automated safe-browsing checks, and cooperate with law enforcement.
4. Your content and our licence to host it
You keep all rights to the content you create and upload (destinations, text, logos, bio page content). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit and display that content solely to operate the service, for example to redirect scans, render your bio page and show you analytics. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that expire on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, including logos and photos.
5. Dynamic links, redirects and bio pages
- Dynamic codes depend on our redirect service at our domain. They work only while the service operates and your account and link are active. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
- Short codes and custom aliases are allocated on a first-come basis. We may reclaim aliases that infringe trademarks, impersonate others, or belong to deleted accounts.
- Bio pages are public web pages. Anything you publish there may be seen by anyone and indexed by search engines until you unpublish it.
- Deleting a link or account permanently disables its short link. Printed codes pointing to it will stop working; we cannot restore them.
- Scan analytics are provided for your own use. You must not use them to identify individuals or combine them with other data to do so.
6. Advertising and the free model
The service is funded by advertising shown on the public site and inside the app, served by Google AdSense. Ads are never inserted into your QR codes, bio pages or redirects. You must not click ads to generate revenue artificially or interfere with ad delivery. Using an ad blocker does not breach these terms, but please consider allowing ads here since they are the only income of the service.
7. Fair-use limits
To keep the service free for everyone, we apply soft per-account caps (for example a maximum number of dynamic links and bio pages), rate limits on sign-in and write operations, and a maximum number of rows per bulk run. Current values are shown in the app. If you need more, contact us; reasonable requests are usually granted.
8. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts, disable individual links or bio pages, or block destinations that we reasonably believe breach section 3, create legal risk, or harm the service or other users. Where practical we will notify you by email and give you a chance to fix the issue. We may delete accounts that have been inactive for more than 24 months after emailing a warning.
9. Service provided as-is
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that every QR code will scan on every device, or that analytics are complete or precise. Always test codes before printing at scale.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including the cost of reprinting materials. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your content, your destinations or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes to the service or these terms
We may change or discontinue features, or the service as a whole. If we plan to shut the redirect service down we will give at least 90 days' notice by email so you can migrate printed codes. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version and material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and courts located in India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you additional rights. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
